Subject: The whole season

The PBR finals are almost upon us. What opinions do you have about this season of PBR?

Hi Darlynne, sure is good to see some rodeo news on the BS! I'm headed to Vegas on 4 November 2009, staying at the Gold Coast, still love their seats! Section 106 can't hardly be beat! Glad to hear that you and your family have found a church that you like and glad to hear that all is well. Keep sending us the news!!

I still think that Marchi could be the first back to back champion. But, after saying that, I also think that whichever of the top 3 doesn't falter at the Finals will end up with the buckle. It might just come down to if one of them rides just 1 or 2 more than the others.

Had a fun weekend here in Connecticut with the PBR for 3 events. But I wish we weren't the last stop. Seems like we've been missing out on having a really good set of bulls the last years because they probably are resting them for the Finals. Can't complain about some we had here, like "All In", "Choc Chip", etc., but the Friday and Sat nights were not impressive at all.

Hated to see Ryan Dirteater get hurt. You could just see the disappointment on his face when they carried him out because I'm sure he knew it was bad and he would miss the Finals.

Is there any better story than Zack Brown coming back from that really bad injury a few years ago to win 4 events this year?! He doesn't get the press like JB, etc., but he's sure got the talent and drive.

Hope you don't mind if I kind of "vent" here... Again, just like past years, there were way too many open seats. I can only think that this is because the casino gives out "comp" tickets to the gamblers who spent enough $$ and most of those people aren't PBR fans. Example: Friday night a guy came up to us and gave us 2 tickets he had been "comped" because he had no interest in going but had taken the tickets anyway. Fortunately we were able to get a couple of family members to come down at the last minute. Also, on Sunday, there were 12-15 seats in the row in front of us that were empty. These are lower level, in what I thought was "fan club" seating. I find it hard to belive that any fan's who spend $50+ per ticket are going to leave those seats unused. Saw the same thing at quite a few different areas in the arena. The frustating thing is that when I went online Saturday, to see if I could get another couple of tickets, the only thing available were way up in the 2nd level. It just seems like this is one area that needs to be addressed by the PBR. I understand allowing the casino to give out seats but why should a fan (and I'll just use me as an example) who buys tickets every year, have to sit behind (ie; further away from the floor) than "comp" ticket seats which are rarely used. Now I admit out seats were fine (4th row) but what about others who are Fan Club members but were sitting 20 or more rows up? Anyway, just some thoughts. Anyone else run into this sort of thing at events? Maybe it's just the casino events where this happens. Thanks for letting me shout about it.

Sure is good to see updates and "winks and grins" from "D" back on the sheet. Will miss going to the Finals this year but don't mind taking the break from Las Vegas. I'm beginning to feel alot like Rob Smetts said to me one year.... "This place just wears me out".

Hi Dar... Gosh I've missed you. Glad to see you back at the reins. Having that said. What can I say about the PBR, I don't geez maybe I would like to get to see them on my TV instead having to go to PBR site to find out what happen. Yup, I'm one of those folks who got caught in the Direct TV vs Versus fight. Going to the finals blind, as I can't really say one or the other whether it's going to be a good one or not. I agree with JAG possible for Marchi (sorry for the spelling). I think he's worked for it. Stil have my hopes for Cody L. Time will tell.
