Subject: NFR coming to town

Well Dar, just thought you'd like to know that they've put the pens up in front of the Thomas and Mack. It looks to be another grand year at the NFR. Too bad you aren't hear. I will have to find Joann and pal around with her as I now live in the Silver State. I agree that Vegas has a total embrace on NFR, there isn't anywhere in the valley where it isn't advertised. There is so much stuff going on whether it's downtown (Old Vegas), on the Strip or over on Boulder Highway that you just can't escape it. The hotels are hyped for it. This year will be a must need for the city itself. I will be curious to see if the hotels put back on some of the ammenities that they've taken away while the NFR is in town. They are going to need the man power and I'm not sure it's quite ready for that. But as always it Vegas and I'm sure they'll pull through.
Can't wait for the Cowboy Christmas shows to start so I can get some shopping in.
Look forward to the chatter as NFR starts it's roll.

Terri, you're in Vegas! I wondered where the heck you were. Send me an e-mail to joannhinman@gmail.com with your contact info. I would love to be meeting up with you there. I will be there all 10 days with Gerry and Elizabeth.

What...! You mean Terri left beautiful "multi-weather" Connecticut for the 'boring' warmth of Las Vegas!? :)

I know you were thinking about it. Hope you're enjoying yourself and having fun. Best to you always!

well, Terri. Welcome to the best of Vegas LOL. Have you started planning your NFR agenda yet?
I've been hearing that some of the hotels were having great deals in hopes of luring some customers. If they keep that up through the NFR, folks may want to make some last minute plans. I miss it..but I'll make it back one of these years. Joann say hi to Gerry and Elizabeth for me. Dad asked just the other day how they were doing. Give everyone hugs for me.
Ted, thanks for posting that article.
and last but not least...
WOOOOHOOO Fantasy NFR is here!!!!

Hi Al

Yes, I've been away from CT for a year now. I've enjoyed a nice spring and a very warm summer. Not the usual summer but warm just the same. I can see snow on Mt. Charleston so that's fine for me. I even get to drive through it on some occassion while going to work up north. So I don't know how Christmas will be without the white but you know the we have color out here too it's just a different kind.
