Subject: IMHO, if someone just sets the price at what they want (ie: too high to start off with), they may not get any bids. By setting that "secret" reserve price, it can start a bit of a bidding competition, often natural curiosity takes over, and many times the seller gets even more than the reserve.

  • I agree, its very confusing and frustarting. The only reason behind people doing this, besides the compeition idea is maybe price of posting an item on eBay? I've never sold, but is there not a fee for your begining price? (NT) -- BHD, 14:59:35 11/04/09 Wed
