Subject: stats vary, but it appears that 3/4 of most French drinking occurs with meals, so the Cafe is certainly a major hang out. cafes are small and locals hang out there, drink and socialize. Currently, there are plenty of bars and clubs in France, for the younger generation to drink and get loaded.
