Date Posted: 03:57:52 04/24/07 Tue all major newspapers in sweden can today reveal that the winner of miss sweden 2007 isabel lestapier winqvist has posed in the men magazine FHM. this is not ok according to Miss Sweden pageant rules, isabel now risks disqualification. panos who owns the pageant will look trough the incident and if he considers that she should be eliminated miss sweden will not attendmiss universe 2007. |

This year only the best of the best gets into the SEMIS they don’t care on how smart you may be only until the top 5, but by then all the best beauties have made it as far. The beauties which are my FAV# currently (IN ORDER TOP 10):  1. Miss Slovak Republic – Blonde, beautiful and lots of sex appeal, this girl reminds me of last years winner in Miss World, but this girl to me is far more amazing with that great body of hers and nice facial features with lots and lots of sex appeal which I already mentioned, and she by far has a good chance to win than any of the other candidates (my opinion)!! 10/10 beauty!! GOOD LUCK TO HER!!! 2. Miss Colombia – People may say that the winner this year will be from countries away from South America or Central America but I think Latinas are more favoured in Mexico, there are wide verities of beauties from the Latin countries and most countries have their own particular look exp: Venezuelans!! You can almost tell a person from where they come from! Just by the way they look. 3. Miss USA – This girl has to be one of the hot shots so far!! I can’t find anything wrong with her, she’s perfect this and that!! Mind me she is young and with lots of sex appeal!! She to me is mixed, with hints of Black American, Latina and Caucasian blood. 4. Miss Russia - Blonde bomb shell, I think if she has a great stage presence she will be a semi-finalist for sure. 5. Miss Venezuela – Another favourite of mine!! Lyndimar Carolina Jonaitis Escalona is this typical Venezuelan beauty that is striking and very queenly. I also have to, remark her long black hair!! It’s so silky and smooth!! It gives her that finishing touch my only advice is not to turn her to last years miss Venezuela, which was a disaster. 6. Miss Norway – has great potential also with wonderful facial beauty, oozing with sex appeal, I just hope she has trimmed her body down since her debt in Mutya in the Philippines. 7. Miss Dominican Rep. – amazing type of beauty, nice eyes nice curvy body and judging by the pictures she looks like a very happy person, hope she gets noticed among the other Latin beauties. 8. Miss Costa Rica – With her great even tan, nice face, great body why not put her up her!! 9. Miss Poland – Well what can I say another blonde beauty, she is like Miss Russia & Miss Slovak Rep. in many ways maybe their related! 10. Miss Philippines – At last she has made my list, a couple of weeks ago I wouldn’t have put her up here but she has rocketed up my list so fast after her send-off photos, she has that vibrancy like no other, and she defines what a Filipina beauty is, some people may not agree of me putting her up because I’m a Filipino but she has won me over, I would make excuses “not” to put her up here, but I just couldn’t after her recent pictures, I hope she can make it this year with the most competitive group the P’s. Top 15 in random order *Norway- looks like a down to earth kinda girl. In the 1993 Miss Universe which was held in Mexico as well, Miss USA got booed by the Mexicans due to the fact that their bet were not able to enter the Semi-finals and I guess they blamed her for that or they've just being racist or what? Miss USA was a black contestant at that time...This year USA has another Black (although sort of mixed white & black).In Miss Universe 1993, the Top 3 spot were given exclusively to 3 latinas namely Miss Puerto Rico ( Miss Universe), Miss Colombia ( 1st Runner-Up ) & Miss Venezuela (2nd Runner-up). It has always been that way since the 90's! Over the decades, Miss Universe has been very PREDICTABLE!!! It has been Proven Time and Again that Miss Universe has been a North & Latin American Beauty Contest wherein you could expect delegates from these countries to dominate no matter what. That's probably the Reason why some Countries chose to send their Over-all winners to Miss World and not in Miss Universe? Now, they're sending their Runners-Up to Miss Universe instead! Undoubtedly , TRUST & CONFIDENCE were slowly depleting toward this pageant in recent years... So this in year's Miss Universe, Expect a Latina to win the Crown since it will be held in a Latin American country like Mexico like in 1993..And to make amends from the past.. expect Miss Mexico to be in the Semi-finals (or finals?) this time! Look,of all those 51 Miss USA 2007 contestants..She got the highest Scores on all the Areas of the Pageant like Swimsuit and Evening Gown segments. I can't understand why Miss Texas or Virginia got a low average score of 83+ as compared to Rachel's 95. point something! What a disparity of scores?!? So I wonder why she's been a big Favorite by all the Judges considering there were other girls more facially stunning than her. Is it because of her being an Oprah's Intern? Your guess is as good as mine. And her being a Former Oprah's intern we're played up or has been featured/ emphasized many times by the Local and International Media. I think this very fact might give her an undue advantage from the rest of the "Unknown" 80+ Girls from all over the World come Miss Universe 2007 Pageant!?! Don't you think???? Aside from Binibining Pilipinas Anna Theresa Licaros, who will represent the Philippines, reigning Mutya ng Pilipinas Kirby Ann Basken will also join the international beauty contest. But the 21-year-old Basken will represent her "other" country, Norway, following her coronation as Fröken Norge-Miss Universe last Monday. Her victory in the European nation was confirmed in Internet reports. Lisa-Marie Moen Jünge was proclaimed Fröken Norge-World and will represent Norway in the Miss World pageant in Poland. Anna-Marie Augustin from Fredrikstad was first runner up. The winners were determined using judges' scores and public votes via SMS and the Internet. This year's competition spanned four months and had about 100 contestants in the beginning. The roster was gradually trimmed to 40, then down to just 20 semifinalists from which the final 10 contestants were selected for the final competition on April 9. Basken was born in Oslo to a Norwegian father and a Filipino mother. She first joined the Miss Norway search in January last year where she finished as first runner up. Last June, she flew back to the Philippines to represent Europe's Filipino community in the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant. She bagged the title. She later represented the Philippines in the Miss Intercontinental pageant in the Bahamas where she cracked the Top 12. Sources from the Miss Asia Pacific Quest Inc. (MAPQI), owner of the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant, had earlier confirmed Basken's desire to try her luck anew in the Miss Norway pageant, saying she had been "bitten by the pageant bug" after her string of competitions in 2006. Upon hearing the news about Basken's victory, MAPQI director and founder Leandro Enriquez said, "We are elated by the news. We are proud that she is a Mutya ng Pilipinas winner and it only proves that Mutya ng Pilipinas deserves international recognition." He also confirmed that the local organization is not stripping Basken of her local title despite her coronation in Norway. But Basken will not be able to personally hand over her crown to her Mutya ng Pilipinas successor next month because the Miss Universe pageant requires her to be in Mexico City for three weeks in May. |
