Subject: Honestly, I don't think that the GN stands alone all that well. It would be very hard to tell from which time period Claire came, for example. Other than "Jesus H. Roosevelt" and a couple images of Frank in WWII gear, there aren't any clues about that. I really think that this is an "insider's" story.

But maybe that's because we (we here, I mean) are used to full, well drawn out writing generally (DG and others) - maybe if you are more used to the style of a GN it would be ok? There is a lot of stuff missing but how much of it (Claire's healing, the boar hunt, Hamish' parentage) really matter to the core of the story?
