Subject: I am almost finished listening (for the first time) to the audio of Outlander. The notion that Murtagh 'knew' really puts a lot of that into different perspective. I know that Diana didn't know that Murtagh knew, but even so.

Yeah, I thought Murtagh's reaction to Claire-his suspicions, his wanting to get rid of her, his not understanding what Jamie was thinking keeping her around-was a lot more understandable considering what he saw at the standing stones. Also, you gotta wonder who else he told about that experience; he didn't hold back that he thought she was an Auld One, so perhaps it explains a little about Colum & Dougal's treatment of her, too, not just Jamie as the threat to their rule? -- Missa, 16:26:58 11/06/10 Sat
