Subject: Where does this Lord John story fit in? Didn't he come over on the war ship that Claire was kidnapped on to become govenor of Jamaica? And when Claire and Jamie got there to question Gellie hadn't her husband recently died? I'm very confused. Did LJ go back to England and come back again?

Plague of Zombies is, again, almost immediately after SP. John has been to sent to Jamaica as a military official ro investigate some trouble, he returns to England and gets sent out as govenor (when he meets up with J&C) years later. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all the LJ books are set during Jamie's time at Helwater or his time at Lallybroch right after (ie when he married Loaghaire). -- jayn, 05:33:06 11/30/11 Wed

When Claire was listening to the gossip about Gellie in Jamica (before knowing it was her) the women suggested that the death of the husband was recent.
