Regarding Complaint#1:
Please check the list of alternative shorcut in the Tools menu (Extras menu in the German version).
A free, very powerful alternative to Perfect Keyboard is AutoHotkey. If you are somewhat familiar with scripting, it will be easy to use for you.

Regarding Complaint#2:
So you finally found out how to do that. Unfortunately, with a growing number of features users do not find their way around as easy as you could wish.
