Let's say the correct answer for a particular card is "hi". If you enter "hi there", normally it will underline the "there" to mark it as wrong, and let you try again. But, if you enter "hi there" and put the cursor right after the 'i', like this: "hi| there", then when you press enter, it will underline "there" but still put it in the next box as if it was correct. Basically, the location of the cursor will change whether the program thinks the answer is right.
