I'm on a roll giving these suggestions so here's one more! =)
One thing which turned me off vtrain at first was this. I installed vtrain as normal, then I went to the site with the free flashcards and downloaded a set to the desktop. I then opened the .vok file. This is what most beginning users (some who don't know computers well) will do. Vtrain gave me this message:

"Error: the desk c:\program files\vtrain\data\n-es_~1.vok could not be loaded.
is it in the working directory at all?
Check its presence, your access privileges, etc.
-search for file....."

I went to search, tried to open the file again and got the message that vtrain could only handle files in the working director.

Now, to someone like me, after looking around the program and reading the help, I can understand why that is the case and simply move the file there. However, for a beginning user, it might be difficult for them to understand that in order to open a file, they must move it into a specific directory such as vtrain\data. Also, the message doesn't state clearly that this is what the person must do, and the person might get frustrated trying to solve the problem.

I think the first message would be clearer something like this:
"You have tried to open a flashcard deck which is not in the working directory. Due to the way vtrain works, decks can only be used when they are in the working directory which is now: c:\program files\vtrain\data . If you want, vtrain can move the file into this directory automatically and open it for you. Otherwise, move the file into that directory and open it again."

Obviously vtrain would need to be programmed to move the file into the working directory and then open it. I hope I have explained myself clearly. I am sure that the explaination and help for this is in the help file somewhere, I am simply trying to make it clearer and easier for a person who is not an expert or who doesn't want to read through help files. Thank you and good work with the program. =)
