 This is an issue we have been struggling for a long time with.

Some people think that allowing several right answers on a flashcard would in the end lead to learning only one of them.

We strongly believe it is far better to edit several flashcards and include disambiguation hints on them. Consider, for example, the following Spanish-English flashcards:

FRONT:
padre /*(neutral)*/

BACK:
father

FRONT:
padre /*(colloquial)*/

BACK:
dad
