Hi Christine

The South Wales Gazette, which was the main local newspaper for many decades in Cwmtillery/Abertillery, has now been digitized by a local group. I know someone who is heavily involved in this project and I'll drop her a line and ask her if the period you are after is included. If it is then I assume there would be a report and hopefully she will be able to help.

I have some of the digitised content myself but only for the mid 1930s which is the era I am most interested in.

ps the colliery name doesn't mean anything to me I'm afraid.
