Like many, I knew John Thomas very well and, having visited many collieries he kept the cleanest baths by far. He was a stickler but a decent hardworking chap. When the local film company stayed in the South Wales Inn next door, the ladies of their group asked John the Baths if they could use the showers - sadly John refused them permission !
