Man! I hadn't properly prepared myself for the shock at the gas pump, either.. I'm not ready for the tank of gas in a "small car" to cost me $30. I don't know exactly where everyone else is regionwise, and what the norms are, but here in the nation's capital, the prices where I shop haven't gotten much above $2 (for the 87 octane) up to this last surge, and I know I've not every paid the 2.079/gal I paid Saturday.. Between having my first car payment in 10 years, my first insurance premium over $500 (since I passed 25 years of age, anyway), and this gas thing, I'm reeling..
