Speeding driver dies after slamming into concrete barrier
A Houston man is dead and three others are in critical condition including a 9-year-old girl when two SUV's collided Sunday night.

(7/12/04 - HOUSTON) — A family of three remains hospitalized after a crash with a speeding driver on Highway 249 in northwest Harris County.
Police say the 22-year-old driver of a GMC Yukon was trying to pass the family's SUV at a high rate of speed when he slammed into a concrete barrier. The impact forced both vehicles to flip over.
The 22-year-old driver of the speeding truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man, his wife and nine-year-old daughter in the other SUV, were critically injured and had to be taken by Life Flight to Memorial Herman Hospital.
