Yes, my passion is Hillary and all the other libs who won't let us drill the vast reserves we have right in our own back yard.
I ignore the fact that no other power source for automobiles is currently viable. Expanding our use of our own oil reserves will buy us time, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and help keep fuel prices down while we work on bringing alternative energy sources to market--something that will take decades no matter how you slice it. Bill Clinton nuked the idea of drilling Anwar in the mid-'90s, and now we're paying for it. But I'll weave and bob if you bring that up.
I ignore the fact that drilling in Anwar or anywhere else can be done without harming the environment. Heaven knows gazillions of caribou survived the Alaska Pipeline; they even gather around it for warmth in the winter. Who'd a thunk it? But I deny it. In fact, I think squat of the environment--it's just a cover story.
See, my real agenda is to cut my country down to size. After all, the rest of the world hates us, which means they hate me. And I can't handle that because I can't stand on my own two feet without Uncle Sam propping me up. I need a serious "feel good" to validate my lack of footing. For us to win this global "popularity contest," I think we need to wreck capitalism and push a socialist agenda that controls and subdues lives. Just the opposite of freedom. You know, so we're like most everyone else around the world. I know that would go a long way toward actually helping all those poor folks get a leg up in their world. We'd all be in the same sinking boat; don't you see how good that would be for us all? But you'll never hear me describe it that way.
The forefathers of my country escaped their prison by coming to this land. Yet even though I feel I'm in a prison, I don't have the courage to follow their example and set up shop elsewhere. France would love me, but I just couldn't get away with the stuff I do if I were there...
Hey LittleOldMe, did I miss anything? ;)
