My only query with LA as a destination, and please correct me if I'm wrong here, is would it require people to rent/have cars etc to get around the city?

I might vote for a more public transportation friendly city.

However if I am wrong on this please correct me

Buses work pretty well.

Also, some of us live here and have cars...and it's most likely going to be over a long weekend so...carpool!

But yes, depending on the number of attendees, a few people may want to/have to rent cars.

What Amanda said. Plus, there is also the Metro that goes to a lot of areas now that I've even used quite a bit myself. You could likely count me as another driver should one be needed. My car isn't huge, but I'm willing to drive.
