But we should know by now that Joss (as well as many if not most existentialists) probably doesn't really believe that happiness is something that is "earned" per se.

We can have moments of happiness and moments of hope, but we eventually will fall victim to life's drama. We continue to fight because those moments are so powerful.

So no, to answer your question. She won't ever "be" happy. She (and we all) are only in the midst of "becoming" happy (reference very intended).
