Subject: Tru Calling - Where was story going?

I just got a hold of Tru Calling Season 2. I knew it was canceled early, but ...

Does anyone know how the plot with Tru's father was supposed to end? I was really starting to get into the story, and now I am trying to find some answers. I know I won't get much, but did they ever reveal their plans for the rest of the season?
