Subject: Why would Angel lose his strength in IWRY?

I realize that the Mohra demon's blood regenerates Angels body to it's living state (making the blood flow, returning his crave for food etc.), but why does he lose his strengths?

The demon is "irreversibly burn out of him", but his body is already transformd by the vamping back in 1753; why would it turn back by simply having functioning organs again?
