I agree completely. There are shows that I currently like and there are pre-Buffyverse shows that I liked but nothing compares to Buffy and Angel, especially in the repeated viewing category. I am currently watching the Darla arc from To Sanshu in LA through Lullaby and am enjoying it immensely (despite having watched these episodes at least a half dozen times). I still watch Buffy and Angel on FX/TNT and never fail to them incredibly entertaining. I think the combination of epic themes along with emotionally gripping developments, humor, great mythology, lovable yet flawed characters, intellectually interesting arcs etc make these shows unique. I honestly do not expect to be again captivated by any show in the way I have been by Buffy/Angel (I hope I am wrong but the bar is set awfully high). The fact that I still enjoy watching/thinking/talking/writing about these shows several years after they concluded just amazes me.
