I think you both make good points about Buffy's leadership, & her problems. I'd add 2 more possible causes for her behavior:

1. She wasn't getting much sleep, &

2. Her own morale was shot. After recovering the Scythe, killing Caleb, & being mocked by the First, Buffy tells Spike that it hadn't occurred to her that they were going to win. Therefore, from "Get it Done" (if not earlier) until almost the end of the season, Buffy was expecting to lose, & probably die - a thought she couldn't express without destroying everyone's morale - although she may have shared it with Willow. She doesn't start acting like herself again until after Spike gives her his "you're the One" speech.
