I was wondering about the reason for the adoption myself. Maybe they saw the publicity about the Prom Baby as a PR opportunity? Only thing I can think of.

And I got nothing to suggest about Trina's real parents' both working at the school. The principal? Why not, since no one knew he was the father. But why would Mary (was it Mary? Trina's "Doris" confused me!) come back to work at the same school? Why wouldn't Moorehead try to prevent it?
