Subject: moral abiguity

Has anyone ever wondered about the moral abiguity in Angel's "Dead End". At the end of the episode, the gang rescues the transplant donators from the lab. At the entrance scene you can clearly see that some of them lack, well, limbs. But the gang only rescues three our four, all of which have all their body parts... So, did they just leave the other ones to die, just because their life doesn't seem worth living? I mean, that's pretty tough stuff for a morally defined show as Angel.
What do you think about that?
