I'm sure its irrelevant, but doesn't Pandora become ever so curious to see what's under the lid of a sealed container, and upon raising it, release all manner of mischief, misery and woe upon mankind? But also, and this varies slightly with the telling, she releases from the same box hope, which to this day has been all that maintains us from despair. In other versions, hope is the one thing that does not fly from the box, that stays inside, therefore we still have it.

Anyways, that was a major construction project there that one imagines would have left other scars on the landscape. I'm just saying.
