It's the only way I see that Mal's warning about the fellow turning into a Reaver in "Bushwacked" truly makes sense.

After the film yesterday, Darby, Sara Graffiti, anom, cjl, Paula, and I were discussing the Reavers, and I believe Jacob and Darby were throwing around the idea, as an explanation for how some survivors became Reavers themselves, that the Pax in the Reavers' systems is still communicable to other people.
