It's up to 6th place, as of now, and shows an overall weekend drop-off of only 51% from last week, which is very, very good for a low budget sci-fi film. And the final numbers aren't in yet. I think we can still remain cautiously optimistic for the return of our crew in the future, in some form, whether it be another film or a series. And I'm sure, as cult sci-fi, the DVD sales will be huge.

One thing to factor into this, which I hadn't thought of before, is that a lot of people of the same cult audience that loves this kind of sci-fi also loves downloading illegal copies of films on-line. A friend of mine knows a bunch of people who did that. Geeks download bad copies of films rather than go to the theatre, and then buy them on DVD. So the numbers should reflect that, as well, once the DVD comes out.

Still, though, I'd recommend that everyone here still keep spreading the word about the movie to friends, and if you can, going again to see it next weekend. I've seen it four times already, and I'm planning on at least a few more times.
