I agree that we're doing modestly okay and that DVD sales WILL no doubt the deciding factor, but for the time being we should concentrate on the box office. The more money it makes now, the less the DVDs will have to make up. And the more people who see it now, the more customers there will be for the DVDs. So I urge people to keep spreading the good word, see it as many times as you feel appropriate, and generally do what you can to help it now. The DVD sales are a handy crutch, but let's not lean on them until we have to. Any luck, and the total US box office will make up most or all of the budget. So let's see Serenity make $40 million in the US and do as well as it can abroad before we even let ourselves think about DVDs.
