I thought it made it feel like I was there. You know how when something grabs your attention and everything else fades away?

I don't rememer the music (or lack thereof) on Miranda as specifically as you, but my feeling was that the crew was awed by the nothingness that they found when they first arrived. ...then they saw the bodies. I liked that I felt as uncertain and off balance as the crew did. Sometimes music tells you too much of what to expect. I liked the surprise.

I do remember a couple of other silent moments more specifically. I felt pulled in, with my attention directed towards what Joss wanted to se see, hear, feel, whatever.

Just my opinion.
