Redd returned Virgil's kisses, on the brink of tears. When he drew back, she looked into his violet eyes, caressing his cheek.
"I promise, love.."
She smiled, watching his reaction to her belly, brushing a stray ebony hair from his forehead.
"Our baby..your son, Virgil."
Curling up on his lap, she pressed close to him, revelling in the warmth of his body, the smell of his skin, his mere presence, something she had missed so much when she was...indisposed. But now she was back, for good, and she'd never leave his side again..
