25 years ago today, 1983: A car bomb at Harrods department store at the height of lunchtime Christmas shopping Saturday, killed five people and injured 72. Police had received a warning before the explosion and the dead included three policemen and one policewoman. Authorities said there was "no doubt" the bombing was the work of the Irish Republican Army.
