The year 1991, I was in 6th grade..I had bought a copy of the latest Teen Beat Magazine, and it was showing all of the barnd spanking new cast members for the 4th season, and and also provided info on the returning cast members... We were having the Free Preview week for Disney, and they were still airing episodes of Season 3.. I at that point decided I <i>needed</i> the Disney Channel.. I had this little chalkboard thing downstairs where the computer was and I wrote down the 800 number for Disney on it.. So when my dad would go and use the computer, he'd see the hint.. So my parents decided that me watching Disney all day would be a much better alternative than me sitting at home all day watching MTV.. So that was my thing, anytime MMC was on, I made sure that TV was mine.. My mom would be watching Oprah, and 5:30 came around, I turned on Disney to watch MMC.. I remember a few years later during that one Summer where they started all new episodes of Season 5, with Emerlad Cove.. I was on a swim team in the summer.. After the meet one evening, I went to go get my things and a few of the girls on the team I was friends with were talking saying "Oh and Tony and Matt looked so cute in that skit.." And I was thinking hmm.. I wonder if they are talking MMC.. So I asked them what they were talking about, and albedamned, it was MMC.. These girls became my closest friends that summer.. One of them would tape the show's, we'd go over the house after swimming and watch them.. It's all we would talk about.. And I remember when Christina joined the cast, and how excited we all were because she was from the area, and we had seen her on TV a few times before.. I have lost contact with those girls in the last few years.. I used to talk to one on the internet all the time, but then I changed E-mail address and ended up losing hers.. Author: Justin [Edit] Date Posted: 19:18:04 04/22/02 Mon Thinking about the show reminds me of those happy times as a kid when I would come home, kick my shoes off and flip on the fan while watching my favorite shows on Disney, including MMC. I learned about music and dance, acting, I even had my first crushes, Keri and Tony. I don't think I'll ever forget how much it did for me, and I'm really glad we have one another to remember it by!
