[> I feel the same-i'm glad they are together but I was shocked,i wanted something different for them,I don't know what or how exactly,but I was hoping that Ash would somehow do something for them...Simi did say that Ash controls all fate,and even Alexion told Danger that one of Ash's powers is reincarnation.I just kept thinking of what he did for Thanatos in Dance with the Devil...if I'm not mistaken,he made him human & Dirce,too,so they could have a fresh start.But maybe he couldn't with Ias & Danger because he cares about them.Still,he made Urian into "other"(I really want to read Urian's book,I hope he gets a full-length story)so I kept hoping.I will cling to the thought that maybe you & Lina are right,and they get something more inthe future.Plus,that bit in Ash's journal about Danger being an Alexion.....I have a feeling that might play a role in future books. -- Boadicea, 15:17:02 08/04/05 Thu

Many of us were less than satisfied with the ending of SOTN. It was felt that Danger and Alexion didn't really get a HEA. More than a few, believed that one of the ways this could have been rectified is if they were allowed to have children. A desire both wanted. Well. They have a child. XIRENA!!! Okay, I may be stretching this but it makes ME feel better. Just think of how Alexion doted and spoke with love about Simi, now he has his own version of Simi. Ash gave him a child!

Maybe Ash IS being true to form in the only way he can in THIS special circumstance? When you look at it this way

1) Alexion gets to be with Danger whom he loves.
2) He gets to remain with Ash, whom he loves.
3) He still can be with Simi, who he loves.
4) He gets his own Simi, or child if you will, in the form of Xirena.

When I look at the outcome in this manner, I believe that Alexion & Danger did get their HEA. Okay, so they can't taste but there is always popcorn! LOL

Would you agree?
