Subject: A Breath of Snow and Ashes Discussion

Did you think Bree and Roger would go back to the 20th century? Did you see it coming at all, and would you like to see them ever return to J&C? How likely is this?

[> No!-BUT, I confess to lurking at the Lallybroch board before I read it & even after that,thought that they would get the baby treated & return.I always liked the scenes where Rog & Bree would reminisce about the 20th century,I guess that should've been our clue,LOL ! I 've always felt,however,that Roger had a much more difficult time "fitting in" than Bree did.Except for her naivete in going to Bonnet's ship for Claire's ring,I always felt that she was doing pretty good.I would like to see them return,but my reasons are strange-I want Jamie & Claire to be able to have their grandchildren there,to see them grow up.I felt sorry for them,since Fergus & Marsali left the Ridge & Bree & Roger went back,they are suddenly w/out family,except for Ian,I guess.I think DG did this so that when we get to the last book,it will be just the two of them,the way it was in Outlander.I doubt they'll ever return, it would make the time-travel seem like a lark,take away part of the mystery or something. -- Boadicea, 17:18:48 01/10/06 Tue

I was SOOOO happy to see that Rog and Bree bought Lallybroch and are gonna live there.
