<b>NO!!!</b> OMG,that was part of what made this book so great-his absolute ruthlessness and willingness to do whatever it took to extract information from the sleazeballs.I was telling P.C. that Julian reminds me VERY much of Detective Vic Mackey(he's a cop on my fave tv show,"The Shield)b/c he showed the same intensity and determination,the same corruptness that you wish to God more of our cops showed.EVERY single time he was interrogating a suspect,it felt vivid and real to me,like I was seeing him do it,or at the least,watching an ep of "The Shield",with a hot sexy new detective *G* More criminals would be off the streets if there were more cops like this in real life!
