Subject: You know how sometimes some briliant authors can turn a seriously nasty character from one book into a hero in another??? I was thinking, that there could have been a verrrry small ( like the hint of a smoke before the spark that starts a fire...) chance that this guy could be redeemed, but then I got to the part were he ordered the dogs to be shot! well that and the fact that he was a historical figure. What a waste of oxygen, eh?
In reply to: Vic 's message, "Yep, gotta go with Ana on this one. He was a totally unredeemable SUBhuman being and his motives were completely self-serving. I think the sign of a great author is to be able to write a TOTALLY horrible, wicked villian, & I think Ecuyer is one of the best since the one in the "Bastard" series by John Jakes. This was a great accomplishement by Pamela & I applaude her talent in this area" on 07:55:18 04/04/05 Mon
