Date Posted: 08:56:32 10/01/03 Wed I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD in the fall of 1972. Shortly after arriving there I went into Aberdeen and ate at Gino's Hamburgers. I remember that it was the best burger and fries I've ever eaten (then, and since then). I must have eaten at Gino's twice a week over the next three months while I was at Aberdeen. I later returned to California after my stint in the Army. Years afterward I remarked to a co-worker from Maryland about how great the burgers were at Gino's. He agreed 100%, but added that all of the Gino's were long gone. I was deeply sadened to hear this news, and I think that the Northeast part of the country lost the best burger chain on the planet when Gino's closed down. There will never be another burger place as great as Gino's was. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
