Subject: The big machines recommended above are great, but keep in mind the price & huge amount of space needed. They're also quite noisy! They can be wonderful if you make a lot of dresses, but if you only make a few per year you may also consider looking at semi-professional machines as they are smaller & quieter.

    I like to have one dress on the frame while I'm sewing or designing another. And like my Quality Assurance hubby says..."when the maching is running, always wear protection!" :) The machines are noisy, but a nice set of noise cancelling headsets work.
