Has anyone else found a small business consultation helpful? I've been hesitant to pay a consultant since this business is so niche, but that might not actually be relevant. Any thoughts?

Are you looking for a consutation to help with fiinancing or overall setup and running of a "dressmaking shop"? (NT)..Sunday, December 07, 10:26:36am

Haven't talked with them yet but I have found the group "SCORE" (Senior Corps of Retired Executives). Have heard they are very helpful. You might check in your area. (NT)dsMonday, December 08, 04:14:16pm

Will you be focusing on solos, school costumes, or both? Do you do your own digitizing and embroidery or will you be using someone else? Will you be making dresses for local dancers only or will you be doing long distance dresses also? Lots of scenarios that will require different operating procedures. If you want to leave your contact info, I have some information that might be helpful. (NT):)Wednesday, December 10, 11:24:23pm

I used the Small Business Development Center. Great classes at reasonable prices and free advice from an advisor. (NT)a dmSunday, December 14, 04:30:19pm

read EVERYTHING! Highly recommend "Entreleadership" by Dave Ramsey and "The E-Myth" by Michael Gerber (NT)BJ, Irish SeamsSunday, December 14, 04:31:41pm

Thank you SO MUCH for the ideas/reccomendations, I will start reading now and go from there. This board is the best! (NT)OPThursday, December 18, 06:28:28am
