For the front I extended the shoulder seam at the neckline at a slight angle by 1 1/2" then curved it down to the center front point. The real trick is in the back where you need to angle the 1 1/2" from the shoulder/neck point. It was slightly less than a 90 degree angle from shoulder to standing up. Then keep the extra 1 1/2" to the center back. One fitting and you should be good to go.

I do not recommend this method as it is a bear to alter. But if the design is with straight lines from collar to bodice, it is probably the only way to get them really lined up.
