Subject: OP here - the "feeder foot thingy" (OK, I admit that was a bad description) is the ridged piece that comes up and under the fabric to pass the fabric along the plate (hence the word "feeder) I don't know what it's actually called, but someone suggested removing it for maneuverability on a satin stitch, and it won't come off...

I believe you are refering to the feed dogs, and you don't need to remove it to do a satin stitch. It actually makes it easier, as it feeds the fabric through at a consistent rate. Curves & corners are tricky, and will take a lot of practice. (NT)=)Monday, August 31, 07:48:39am
