Subject: While I agree sellers should answer all questions, perhaps she was offended by the way the question was asked. For example, I teach my kids not to say, "Peas are disgusting" at the dinner table because it may make the person sitting next to them feel like, "What is wrong with me, I love peas." Personally I say if it looks good from where the judges are sitting, it doesn't matter what it looks like up close. The point is to get the judge to look at you. Nothing wrong with

In reply to: tyia 's message, "Need opinions.I was at a feis looking for a "new"/used dress for my daughter. We saw one we liked form across the room, but up close the embroidery was strange. I think it was hand done or guided? When I asked the seller if it was done with an embroidery machine, she got upset and said of course, couldn't I tell? She said it was "digitalised" (unsure of the word). She got mad when I said I would think about it. Should digitalised embroidery look rough and uneven? What should it look like?" on Tuesday, March 20, 01:30:19am

I did hand guided embroidery for many years, and it is absolutely possible to do nice, neat work freehand. It will never be as symetrical as good digitizing, but can still look beautiful.
