Subject: Bit of an unusual request...

Let me start off by saying that I haven't done Irish dancing properly in about 10 years but looking online at all the beautiful dresses available in Ireland makes me want to take it up again just I could get to wear them!

However, I do dance when I teach Zumba and will be attending the international Zumba Convention in Orlando this August. We have been asked to "celebrate our culture" at a special event by dressing in dance attire which represents the type of dance born in our country and my friends and I really want to go all out and show the world how beautiful Irish dancing is!

This may be a completely DAFT question but is there any chance that any of you have any dresses we could borrow, or would you know anyone daft enough to consider my request? There are three of us, Paula is a 6, I am an 8/10 and Nat is about a 12.

I just thought I'd give it a try, mainly because I would love to get to wear a solo dress for a day! The one sitting in a warehouse not being sold or the one worn to death by someone else and not wanted anymore, anything at all would be hugely appreciated!

Míle buíochas and I look forward to your response,

Siobhán

You might try posting on the Southern Region board. There might be a school close to Orlando that might let you borrow school dresses. http://www.voy.com/115583/ (NT)hthMonday, July 28, 07:11:41am
