Subject: Moving this up from a conversation below. Does anyone have any information on this hoop that's bigger than the large extension table? Wouldn't that be a dream come true?? WOW!

I've looked into all the possible options. There are bigger/wider frames available for another brand, but the cost is astronomical, plus you need a huge space for the frame to move in both directions. Toyota isn't making anything wider, as it just doesn't work without changing the whole machine. (NT) -- Such a pity!

look! huge! totally not practical... http://eshop.anita.cz/out/media/swf_d_w1201_100_prospekt_en.pdfsndmTuesday, July 29, 01:51:37pm

40 x 40! wow---that would be great---did you inquire as to cost??? how much? (NT)bgTuesday, July 29, 03:49:52pm

no I just googled and found it! I would imagine its pretty pricey... And I wouldn't have anywhere to put it unless I got a shop!sndmTuesday, July 29, 04:07:42pm

Wouldn't it be great to do a full dress in one hoop! Perhaps a lottery win (and a larger sewing room) will help get one of these! I wonder what the cost is... (NT)???Thursday, July 31, 09:55:24am

It's not so easy though. For example, how would you access the middle of a wide hoop to cut around applique? And what if your fabric wasn't as wide as the frame? And with movement of the frame, the machine would take up a whole room (NT)!Friday, August 01, 04:39:56pm

I don't think a hoop larger than what would accommodate the size of a center panel (old style 3 panel) that is still used for many class costumes is practical. The head still only stitches out one piece at a time. After that piece is stitched out you have to adjust the entire frame, lay the fabric in the frame and press start again. I think it would be more practical to remove the stitched piece from the hoop and assemble that piece while the next piece is stitching. (NT)more reasonable optionFriday, August 01, 06:48:09pm

It may depend on how you run your business. If you have several dresses that you are working on at the same time it might make more sense to assemble one dress while you are stitching out another one. But if you are working on one dress at a time, I think it would be more practical to work on the assembly of the bodice while the skirt is being stitched out or visa-versa. Also with smaller hoops you can get a tighter fit so there is no puckering rather than having to use sticky back stabilizer. (NT)personal preferenceSunday, August 03, 11:59:16am

Due to the cost of the equipment, I think anyone would be crazy not to use what they have purchased. If I spent an astronomical amount of money on the XPanto, I would not go back to a smaller hoop. I would make it work. I was providing my opinion in response to the post above who seems to be contemplating an expensive purchase that might be unnecessary. (NT)something to think aboutTuesday, August 05, 11:15:30pm
