In reply to: SNDM 's message, "For thos of you making dresses for the midwest US region's U8and U9 dancers:" on Thursday, September 18, 01:43:50pm

If you look thru the awards pictures for the U8's, there are several podium placers that have crocheted collars. Then there are others in school dresses that have crocheted collars.

As long as it is not metallic thread, I would consider that similar to applique (NT)TCRG; OK with CrotchetFriday, September 19, 02:39:04pm

That would be my opinion, too. You can understand; I don't want to make a dress for a little girl that knocks her out of the competition. Are you a MWR TCRG or from another region offering your common sense take? I wish someone would clarify. It would be a great element to use and so traditional. I'm going to use white cotton crochet, if I can get an official answer (NT)Thanks for your response. OP/SNDMFriday, September 19, 04:56:27pm
