In reply to: sndm 's message, "Construction of skirt for The Academy 3 panel dresses? I know the front panel is more like a flap that can lift up. What about the side panels? Are they connected at the side? Saw a picture that looked like maybe not?" on Friday, July 25, 09:38:34am

I am doing the alts on The Academy dresses. They are from Gavin , that is the ones I've seen. The side of the panel is a pleat, however they have a seam at the v of the panel. They are very hard to work on. I am new at the Irish dance dress alts. I have done alts for 35 plus years. Makes ng the panels lay flat in the front can be a challenge . The new ones from Gavin stick out at the center back. They have been hard to figure out. I enjoy it greatly though.
