 There is a huge shift in thinking and working when you go to the big frame on the toyota. It will take a while to make that mental adjustment. While you know and are probably very good at embroidery.....the big frame does have it's own learning curve. One part of that is the stabilizer, both sticky back and tear away. I buy my sticky back by the 25 or 50 yd roll....same for tear away. Get accustomed to using large amounts of both. It will be the cost of business. Each of the things you use to do your current embroidery will just get bigger with this larger frame. You can fit more...so you need the largest size thread spool, your topper has a larger area to cover so you need the larger size roll of that. It is expensive to experiment so once you find what works for you.....write it down and stick with it. I use the clamps, and sticky back for everything. Sometimes several layers of tear away, and this hoop moves! So your underneath layers move with it....using small amounts does not work well because it will shift when the hoop takes a jog all the way in one direction. Just be prepared to learn a lot all over again. It has taken me about a year to become really confident in my embroidery again. To know that I can get it right the first time, and not need to test every single thing.....but there is still testing. Good luck, and have fun!!!!
