Do you advertise? If so, where and which sites/magazines/fliers/etc do you think work to your best advantage?

No, I don't find it is necessary to advertise at all. However, when I started out, I found the best was just to make OTR dresses and get them out there, so people could see my work. Now I get far too many requests for dresses, and have to turn people away (NT)almost every day.Monday, February 17, 02:13:11pm

My situation is the same as the poster above. It is not necessary to advertise. If you do quality work, learn from your experiences, understand your limits, be patient and don't expect to be paid top dollar until you can produce a top dollar product, people will find you. I advertise on dance-again, and a couple other dressmaker lists (dance-again is the only paid spot). It isn't strictly necessary, but it has brought a wider variety of clients my way over the past few years. I've noticed that I get more emails because they like my style, and less because I might give them a big discount. (NT)Your milage may vary!Thursday, February 20, 07:29:32am
