I have no problem cutting the circle - just measuring for pleats??? (NT)DMThursday, February 27, 08:04:38am

Goblet skirt I find it so much easier to cut a straight skirt and just curve at the sides. (NT)SNDThursday, February 27, 04:59:16pm

I never cut on a circle. For a small dress the width of a fabric is usually enough for the front and half for each back. I simply pleat the fabric on the frame of the skirt. (NT)hthFriday, February 28, 05:43:26am

On Dance.net there was a very detailed conversation string about making a circular goblet skirt titled "Evolution of a Solo Dress." Here's the url: http://www.dance.net/topic/10041445/1/Irish-Dressmakers-Costumers/The-Evolution-of-a-solo-dress.html&replies=17. (NT)LynnToledoFriday, February 28, 08:06:59am
